FLASH GORDON is one of the oldest serialized comic strips in existence. Created by Alex Raymond in 1934, the strip has continued in various forms for nine decades — passing through the hands of some of comics’ most storied craftsmen along the way. A new installment comes out every day of the week on Comics Kingdom and in newspapers nationwide.

On October 22nd, 2023 the strip relaunched with a new writer/artist — me — and a new continuity, one deeply rooted in Raymond’s original canon and adapted for a modern audience. Here’s our first strip, which gets readers new and old up to speed on the alien world where our story takes place. Clicking/tapping on it will take you to its page on Comics Kingdom, where you can start our run from the beginning.

Our subsequent Sunday strips recap the week’s events from the perspective of a specific character, keeping casual readers in the loop and fleshing out the sci-fi/fantasy universe of Flash Gordon. The top tiers focus on character introductions — they also make a handy reference to help keep track of our massive cast. Each image is also a link to the strip it comes from (bear in mind that these aren’t necessarily in order — if you want to start from the beginning, click the strip above)
